This Privacy Policy describes how Bug Hive, developed and published by Vladislavs Tarasovs ("Bug Hive," "we," "us"), handles information when you use the Bug Hive mobile application, visit this website or contact support. The app is preparing for release, so this policy may be updated before launch if the final store build or service configuration changes.
Local matches do not require an account. Game state and settings are primarily kept on your device. Advertising, consent, purchases, app distribution and support use outside providers that may process limited information for their services.
Information kept on your device
Bug Hive may save game progress, match settings, rule options, computer difficulty, sound and haptic preferences, consent choices, tutorial state, purchase status mirrors and local statistics on your device. This information supports normal app operation and restoration between sessions.
We do not operate a player-account system for local computer or pass-and-play matches. Unless a feature explicitly says otherwise, local board positions and move histories are not uploaded to a Bug Hive game server. Removing the app or clearing its storage may erase local data that is not restored by the operating system’s backup features.
Advertising and consent
The free version may show ads using Google AdMob and mediation partners that can include AppLovin, Meta Audience Network and Unity Ads. Depending on your region, device settings and consent choices, these providers may process information such as IP address, device and advertising identifiers, approximate location inferred from IP, app interactions, ad views, clicks, diagnostics and fraud-prevention signals.
Google’s User Messaging Platform may show a consent form where required. On iOS, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt may also ask whether apps may track activity across other companies’ apps and websites. Declining tracking does not necessarily remove all ads; it can limit personalization and identifier access. Available privacy choices may also be reopened from the app’s settings.
Each provider acts under its own terms and privacy policy. Learn more through Google’s Privacy Policy, AppLovin’s Privacy Policy, Meta’s Privacy Policy and Unity’s Privacy Policy.
Purchases and Pro access
In-app purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details. The store supplies purchase records needed to complete, restore and validate access.
RevenueCat helps manage the Pro entitlement across app sessions. It may process an app-specific user identifier, product and transaction information, purchase timestamps, subscription or entitlement state, platform, app version and limited device or diagnostic information. Review RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy, Apple’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy for their practices.
Support messages
If you email support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, device model, operating-system version, screenshots, purchase context and problem description. Please do not send passwords, complete payment-card numbers or unrelated sensitive information.
We use support information to answer your request, diagnose defects, prevent abuse and improve the app. Email providers and other communication services may process the message to deliver and store it. We retain support conversations only as long as reasonably useful for these purposes and legal or security needs.
This website
The initial Bug Hive website does not set a first-party analytics identifier and does not maintain a download-click tracking database. Cloudflare hosts the site and may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamps, network and security signals to deliver content, protect the service and operate its infrastructure. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
Store buttons are marked “coming soon” until public listing URLs are available. If website analytics or tracked store redirects are added later, this policy will be updated before that data collection begins.
Why information is processed
Depending on the feature and applicable law, information is processed to provide the game, remember preferences, fulfill purchases, show and measure ads, honor consent choices, diagnose crashes, secure services, respond to support and comply with legal obligations. Where consent is the applicable basis, you may withdraw it through available app or device controls without affecting earlier lawful processing.
When information is shared
We share information with service providers only as needed for the functions described above, such as app distribution, purchase validation, advertising, consent management, hosting, security and support. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or services, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell local match histories as a Bug Hive data product.
Retention and security
Local information remains on the device until it is overwritten, removed through app controls, cleared by the operating system or deleted with the app. Outside providers retain information according to their own policies and legal obligations. We use reasonable measures appropriate to a small mobile game, but no device, transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Children
Bug Hive is a general-audience strategy game and is not designed to collect personal information directly from children through a player account. Advertising and store providers may apply age-related controls based on region, store settings and consent configuration. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information directly to support can contact us to request review and deletion.
Your choices and rights
You can change device-level tracking permission, advertising privacy choices where available, notification permissions and other operating-system controls. You may also delete local app data through device settings or by removing the app, subject to platform backup behavior.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent or receive a copy of certain personal information. To make a request, email us with enough detail to identify the relevant interaction. We may need to verify the request and cannot directly delete data controlled solely by Apple, Google or another independent provider.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy when the app, providers, legal requirements or website change. The updated date above will identify the current version. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or through the store listing where appropriate.
